Museum of Contemporary Art



The museum is the house to some of the most important works of art belonging to different genres such as abstract, pop art, minimalism, futurism, and conceptual art. The original idea was that the museum visitors who want to see contemporary art of the 20th century only go to one museum because if all the works on display appeared in one place Museum of Contemporary Art, visitors could see at least one work from each artist of the century.

Contemporary Art Museum has nine galleries that three of them are used to exhibit works of International painters and artists that are kept in the museum's permanent treasures. This part consists of valuable works of Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Rene Magritte, Andy Warhol, and many other artists.

Museum of contemporary art of Tehran is one of the most complete collections of abstract expressionism in the world. The museum's permanent treasures have more than 3,000 unique and elite Iranian and International pieces and nearly 400 of them have exceptional value.
