Abgineh Museum

Being a Qajar house that belonged to Ahmad Shah’s prime minister, he lived in this house till 1953, has turned Abgineh to one of Iran’s most beautiful museums. The house itself is a work of art, more than 50 forms of brickwork have been used in the façade and all doors and windows are woods carved to perfection. The two-story house was turned into a museum with 5 halls and the interior of it was designed by the renowned Austrian designer Hans Hollein. The main focus of the museum is on the glassware and a fascinating collection of dishes has been collected that reflect the creativity of Iranian craftsmen.
